Educating you on the subtleties of blow-drying your pubic hair in front of people may take years. Why? Is it too complicated? Listen, I’ve just spent all this time teaching you not to shave in a restaurant. Can we do gym changing room etiquette next? No, I’m sorry, we cannot. Smoothing your eyebrows good, plucking your eyebrows bad. Applying moisturiser good, clipping your nails bad. So that’s the public grooming rule: don’t leave a mess? Now you’re getting it. Why can’t men shave, then? Oh, I don’t know, maybe it’s because applying lipstick doesn’t shoot microscopic hair clippings all over an area where people have to eat? As etiquette bible the Emily Post Institute states: “It’s OK to quickly apply lipstick at the table if you’re with close friends or relatives in a non-business situation”, but it’s definitely not recommended outside this context. Why are women allowed to do their makeup at a table, but men can’t shave? Well, strictly speaking, they aren’t. A man called Nick Weiss filmed it happening on Sunday in the Delta One lounge at JFK airport. Bar panel tentatively found Trump’s former lawyer Rudy Giuliani likely committed an ethics violation in trying to overturn the 2020 presidential election in Pennsylvania. But for spraying thousands of bits of your own hair all over the table and floor? Yes, yes it absolutely does. Rudy Giuliani did, by shaving himself in an airport restaurant. But can we really say that an airport restaurant counts as a normal restaurant? For relaxed, leisurely dining? No. Perhaps there weren’t any suitable facilities nearby? According to Weiss, the shaving happened a few steps away from a “really nice” bathroom. A judge questioned lawyers for Fox News, Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell about a series of election-fraud claims at the center of a 2.7 billion defamation lawsuit filed against them by voting. Yes, a successful man who once made a speech with hair dye streaming down his head, and is reportedly a fairly prolific public farter. Do you really want your personal grooming icon to be Rudy Giuliani? Is this sort of thing allowed now? That depends. The former New York City mayor was shaving himself at the table? Yes, shortly after eating a lobster bisque, followed by a plate of brownies. A man called Nick Weiss filmed it happening on Sunday in the Delta One lounge at JFK airport. Rudy Giuliani did, by shaving himself in an airport restaurant. Why on earth would you put an image like that into my mind? I didn’t. Appearance: Rudy Giuliani shaving himself in an airport restaurant.

From professional domino game competition to setting them up and then knocking them over, dominoes allow for a variety of games, as well as tests of skill and patience.Ī world of excitement is waiting for you, just a tap away.Dominoes, cousins of playing cards, originated in China in the 1300s and represent one of the oldest tools for game play. The markings on dominoes, known as pips, originally represented the results of throwing two six-sided dice. The European dominoes we recognize today differed from the Chinese versions by incorporating seven extra dominoes-six representing the results from throwing a single die with the other half of the tile left blank, and one representing the blank-blank (0-0) combination. Most domino games involve emptying one’s hand while blocking opponents’ play. Scoring games, such as bergen and muggins, determine points by counting the pips (spots on a tile) in the losing players’ hands. Other play formats include blocking games such as matador, chicken foot, and Mexican train. Some domino games duplicate card games-without the possibility of the wind blowing the cards away. And every sort of domino game helps teach kids number recognition and math skills. Who first set up a row of domino tiles and then gave one a push? We don’t know, but the practice, known as “toppling,” probably dates from the tiles’ early years. The Netherlands hosted an annual domino toppling exhibition called Domino Day from 1986 to 2009, culminating in an event where a team toppled 4.5 million dominoes. There’s absolutely no reason to buy an Xbox. This means experienced PC Modders will be easily able to port their PC mods over to the Xbox which was limited on the ancient Xbox One platform and not even possible on Sony's closed proprietary systemWhy buy an Xbox when all their exclusives can be played on PC or with Gamepass. They won't allow modding and Bethesda's Business Model now pushes modding because it has stretched out the life and playability of games like Skyrim and Fallout 4 and Microsoft has plans to make the Xbox even more Modder friendly because the Series X and PS5 are now on par with a PC for modding because they are essentially the exact same hardware from the CPU to the GPU to the memory controller to PCIe 4.0 buss. Here is another reason Sony is being left by the wayside with Bethesda. Russell_john said:By the same logic no one should buy a PS5 just to play one game either. You just need a pc or Gamepass subscription. And no one needs to buy an Xbox to play exclusives. It’s no wonder they bit at the chance to sell out to Microsoft. Fallout and Elder Scrolls were HUGE disappointments and a shell of their former selves. Not after all those recent shitty games they’ve been releasing. More: Retro gamers rejoice! Xbox Series X has a surprise for youīloodklot said:This article is so thirsty to get PlayStation users to buy an Xbox □ No one should buy an Xbox because of one game especially one by Bethesda.Earlier this week, concept art of the game was leaked on Reddit, before being promptly deleted, suggesting that a 2021 release date isn’t impossible. Starfield is still a game that’s shrouded in mystery, but we may not have long to wait before it’s fleshed out a bit. Alternatively, the Xbox Series S makes a tempting secondary console for those who have already spent big on a PS5, but can’t live without their expansive Bethesda adventures. Of course, depending on how well Xbox Game Pass streaming works in the long run, PlayStation owners may be able to temporarily subscribe and get their Starfield fix delivered remotely to a phone or tablet. Though the flagship Xbox is a stellar games console regardless of Starfield and makes for the best platform to lay Xbox games old and new. So that's all a good reason to seek out an Xbox Series X and try and find a promising Xbox Series X restock. “Xbox consoles, PC, and Game Pass will be the best place to experience new Bethesda games, including some new titles in the future that will be exclusive to Xbox and PC players,” he said. After the purchase was approved in March, Spencer made the stance even clearer.
On November 5, 1958, the first class of 32 students began training. With these personnel as a core for the newly formed USAF Marksmanship Center, bases throughout the world began selecting personnel to be sent to the center for training. The purpose of the initial cadre was to train Small Arms instructors and gunsmiths for assignment to all Air Force bases. The three-week training course included coaching techniques, range management, and procedures for the preparation of marksmanship training programs. Benning, GA, from January 26 to February 15, 1958. The original cadre attended the Army's advanced rifle marksmanship coaches class at Ft. The marksmanship program was designed by Colonel Tom Kelly and initially under the direction of Colonel Peter Agnell. In 1958, the USAF selected 25 experienced competitive shooters to become the initial instructor cadre of the USAF Marksmanship Center located at Lackland AFB, TX, where it remains active today. The experience of the Korean War encouraged General Curtis LeMay to change the way weapons training was conducted in the Air Force. Only the Air Police were routinely trained in marksmanship and maintenance of small arms. The few serviceable ones were of little use as personnel were not trained in their use, unable to even load or aim them. The majority of the base weapons were inoperable due to lack of maintenance. One result was the inability of the majority of personnel at Kimpo to successfully defend themselves and the base. Prior to the Korean War, no formal program of weapons training existed. The resulting investigation revealed serious deficiencies in the way small arms training was perceived and carried out in the Air Force. This hangar still stands today as a memorial to those who died without a chance to fight. The remaining personnel found alive by the Chinese were hung in the main hangar on Kimpo. The general base population was then easily defeated before reinforcements arrived to drive the enemy back. The Air Police Squadron was so overwhelmed that they were forced to fight a rear guard action before being annihilated. The most significant was the tragedy at Kimpo Air Base, Korea, which was overrun by a numerically superior Chinese communist force. During the Korean War, several incidents occurred which called attention to the small arms training provided to Air Force personnel. With Oscar worthy performances by Marcia Gay Harden and Thomas Jane, this effective Stephen King horrorshow is one worth remembering. It’s too bad this film was a box office flop, maybe due to the terrible recreation of The Fog Hollywood delivered only a couple of years earlier. This gut-wrenching supernatural bottle film is an incredible work and demands to be adored. Maybe the most obvious pick for this selection might be awarded to Frank Darabont’s adaptation of Stephen King’s novella The Mist. I can’t wait to see what Jee-woon cooks up next. The ending to this title is more tragic than it is shocking, but with the events leading up to the finale, I don’t want to ruin it… just in case. It would go on to spawn an American remake in 2009 inexplicably retitled The Uninvited. A Tale of Two Sisters saw release in Korea in 2003 and was a massive critical hit. The director would also go on to helm I Saw the Devil in 2010 which was also excellent and had another wild as hell ending. Probably the most beautiful installment on this list, A Tale of Two Sisters is Kim Jee-woon’s third film and likely the most important within his legacy. That said, this is one ending none of us will ever forget. It’s the epitome of 80’s trans panic and it’s hard to address this ending without sounding like a preachy teen. The nude reveal of Angela being a trans woman is shocking, rotten and in poor taste. The twist ending to this one is nothing if it isn’t memorable. With its outlandish kills, bizarre acting, and downright disturbing energy, Sleepaway Camp will never be forgotten. This strange little Friday the 13th knock-off came in full force to disrupt the slasher scene in 1983 and we’re still feeling the beautiful fallout to this day. SAY SOMETHING ANGELA!! Sleepaway Camp is bonkers in Yonkers and we celebrate that. Incredible films that have included this dangerous archetype include Psycho, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Dressed To Kill as well as our next entry… SLEEPAWAY CAMP This transphobic character type portrayed trans characters as extremely dangerous deviants capable of the most horrifying violence ever seen in early horror. Psycho led the charge of creating the murderous transfeminine archetype in cinema. However, it’s the ending that acts as the most bizarre and downright uncomfortable moment in this iconic film. How could this list exist without the inclusion of Psycho? Alfred Hitchcock’s 1960 horror-shocker rocked audiences with its shower sequence, a scene that still holds up as one of the most terrifying moments ever captured on screen. Oh God, I’m starting to cry, don’t look at me… PSYCHO In the final shot, her creation reaches over and holds her. Once May has finished building her Frankenstein creature, she lays next to it for comfort. It still stands as one of my favorite endings ever in the world of horror. Don’t be fooled, this film is full of heart, lung, liver and limbs. This groundbreaking horror moment was written and directed by genre bad-boy Lucky McGee and concerns a young woman named May who just wants to find a friend. May is fan-fave indie release from 2002 starring the ever-iconic Angela Bettis. This might be a controversial choice, but it’s my list and I do what I want. The way that his character Ben is murdered by police after surviving a night of unimaginable horror is 100% heartbreaking. Night of the Living Dead was one of leading actor Duane Jones’ only performances, and it’s fantastic. The ending to this entry is especially heinous. This historical horror moment is gorgeous, scary, and worth rewatching over and over. It basically invented the zombie genre, sure, but it also spoke to serious issues like segregation and police brutality fifty years before most other films. Night of the Living Dead is arguably one of the most important horror films ever made. Japanese cinema really flexed with this title. It’s a sad, shocking and very bizarre ending that suits the film just fine. The ending sees Eihi Shiina (as Asami Yamazaki) dying from a broken neck, whispering words of affection for the mutilated and deformed Shigeharu, as his son calls for the police. So basically, he kinda-sorta had it all coming. One of the earliest examples of the ‘good for her’ subgenre, Audition revolves around a creepy dude who holds auditions among unknowing actresses to find his new wife. Takashi Miike’s 1999 film is widely known to be disturbing as hell, while also standing tall as one of the most celebrated moments in late-90s Japanese horror. The ending to Drag Me To Hell truly keeps the promise of its title…. While the ending of this one is a devastating shocker, even more mind-bending is the fact that Lohman never became a bigger name in the game. It marks Sam Raimi’s triumphant return to horror after years of making mainstream Hollywood fare ( Spiderman 1, 2 & 3). Is this a controversial choice? Drag Me To Hell is the mean 2009 classic starring Alison Lohman and Justin Long. POLYHEDRONS_PATH = '/home/user/.FreeCAD/Mod/Pyramids-and-Polyhedrons' I'm launching it in the background before running the updated script with DISPLAY pointing to Xvfb: FREECADPATH = '/usr/local/lib' # path to your FreeCAD.so or FreeCAD.dll file This requires a display, however, and I want to run the script as part of a headless toolchain in a Docker container. I found out that FreeCADGui will only be fully initialized after FreeCADGui.showMainWindow() has been called. Now FreeCADGui could be imported, but it was lacking the required addCommand method that Pyramids-and-Polyhedrons invokes. The first problem was that Pyramids-and-Polyhedrons imports FreeCADGui (in order to install its workbench), which depends on certain native libs that need to be added to LD_LIBRARY_PATH before running the script: export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$(echo $(find /usr/local/lib/python3.7/site-packages -maxdepth 2 -mindepth 2 -type f -name *.so* | sed -r 's|/+$||' | sort -u) | sed -E 's/ /:/g') The reason was Pyramids-and-Polyhedrons not being imported after all. When I trace Document.recompute() with pudb, I only see it executing Facebinder.execute() but not Icosahedron.execute(). To my understanding the macro's execute method should get invoked during the recomputation of the document. I was expecting it to change to 15, according to the parameter change. The z coordinate of the vertex at index 11 in the tessellated mesh happens to be equal to the icosahedron's radius. The python script below opens this model, changes the radius cell in the Spreadsheet to 15, call recompute() on the spreadsheet, invokes touch() on the icosahedron, calls recompute() on the document, and finally tessellates the icosahedron. some facebinders which are unimportant for the purpose of this question,.Icosahedron (from the Pyramids-and-Polyhedrons macro) with Radius=parameters.radius.Spreadsheet "parameters" with a cell aliased as "radius" and value 50. Insomnia often requires long-term intervention, and thus, the financial burden and inconvenience of both approaches discourage patients from complying, leading to chronic insomnia. Pakpour’s group proposed a cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) app-based intervention and demonstrated that patients with insomnia showed improved sleep hygiene behaviors, enhanced sleep quality, and less insomnia severity after receiving CBT-I. In recent years, insomnia treatment approaches have primarily included pharmacological and nonpharmacological (psychological, cognitive-behavioral) therapies. Insomnia cases are increasing annually owing to the accelerating pace of life, and as the public becomes more aware of its prevalence and dangers, its rational treatment is being increasingly recognized. Moreover, both primary and secondary insomnia pose a threat to patients’ health. It is often accompanied by symptoms such as daytime sleepiness, fatigue, dizziness, and attention problems that reduce patients’ work efficiency and alertness, increasing the probability of car, home, or work accidents and often leading to substantial damage. Chronic insomnia disrupts an individual’s life and work and increases the risk of various health issues. An epidemiological study revealed that 45.4% of survey respondents in China experienced varying degrees of insomnia in the previous month. Insomnia is the most common sleep disorder. The GAD-7 scores were 2.75 ± 1.50 vs 7.15 ± 2.28, and the ISI scores were 8.68 ± 2.26 vs 3.38 ± 1.76 for the treatment vs the control group, respectively (all P < 0.05). The results showed that mindful breathing combined with the sleep-inducing exercise significantly improved the long-term effectiveness of insomnia treatment. However, compared with the control group, the treatment group exhibited significant improvements in sleep quality, daytime functioning, negative emotions, sleep latency, sleep duration, sleep efficiency, anxiety level, and insomnia severity at 1 and 3 mo postintervention ( P < 0.05). The PSQI, GAD-7, and ISI scores before the intervention and at 1 wk postintervention were not significantly different between the groups. |
